J and D home improvemnets have just completed some exteriror work on my property. I was contacted by the company when they knocked on some doors in my road before Christmas. I spoke to Jim about the possibility of the exterior being painted and he advised that some cracks in my property would need to be filled in before any external decoration could be complete. He provided a quote and gave me a leaflet with all the company details but was not pushy at all about me accepting his quote.
After Christmas Jim returned and spoke to a family member to find out if I had thought any more about the decoration. He said that he could call in on Saturday afternoon to chat to me which he did the following Saturday.
Jim was very helpful when he returned; he was happy to answer all my questions and gave me a good quote when I asked him to complete some other external jobs that needed to be completed. Jim also said that he would complete two smaller jobs for no charge. He advised me on how the job would be completed and what I could expect at the end. He was clearly very experienced with all types of building and decoration work and told me about the smaller, finishing touches that he would do as part of the job. Although the company was busy, he was able to give me a starting date which was one week later. Jim and his sons strated the job on Monday and came each day of that week apart from when it was raining. The job was done to a good standard and all the different parts of the job were completed. They regularly checked in with me to make sure that I was happy with what they had done and the work was completed within the week. All rubbish was taken away afterwards and they did all they could to keep the mess to a minimum. All the finishing touches were also completed, as promised, and everyone was professional, chatty and happy.
I am really pleased with the results and my neighbours on either side have also asked for Jim amd his sons to decorate their homes. This is a friendly and profesional company who clearly complete work to a high standard. I would definitely recommend them.
